WHO AM I AT WORK?

I am a Global Leader, with 30+ years' experience of managing teams around the world. My last position was as Director, Global Customer Resolution, leading a large team, based in 15 countries in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific and servicing customers in 23 countries.

My core values as a Leader are clear vision and direction, open and honest communication, strong engagement, with a strong focus on performance management. I firmly believe in a leader’s responsibility to recognise, nurture and develop potential and encourage mental wellbeing in the workplace.

I decided to step out of Leadership and into Professional Leadership Coaching, after being made redundant just as Covid-19 hit the world! The Perfect Storm!! This gave me lots of time to think, study and decide what to do next! I decided it was time to share my knowledge and experience by helping others to develop. I wanted to use my extensive leadership experience and combine it with my passion for Wellbeing.

My passions have always been Travel and outdoor activities, however I also love Learning & Development and have a particularly keen interest in Human Behavioural Psychology. This led me to study Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychology.


I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher and a Certified Leadership Coach through the CTA (Coaches Training Academy) ICF (International Coaching Federation) Approved Training and licensed through CCA (Certified Coaches Alliance) and working through their code of ethics and standards.

TRAVEL IS ONE OF MY PASSIONS!

I am British, however I have been extremely fortunate to have lived and worked in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific during my career.

This includes working and living in Italy, France, Greece, Russia, North Africa, the Far East, Florida, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean. I think this has allowed me to develop a global awareness of different cultures and perspectives.

I speak Italian, French, German to various levels and I am learning Spanish!

A LIFE OF WELLBEING!

I live in the UK, where most of my family is based, but travel as much as time allows!

I love to swim most days, even in the winter, in cold water. I do lots of walking in the country and on coastal routes and I cycle and practice yoga. I am passionate about the positive effects of activity and nature on wellbeing.

Even on the busiest workdays I try to fit in some exercise, even if it’s just a walk!

Why Mindset?

I think mindset is just crucial in everything we do and once we accept that, we have a choice as to how we view any challenge or issue in work and in life, then we take more control of our own lives

A wise man once described his own inner struggles in this way:

Inside me there are two dogs, one of the dogs is unhappy, insecure and full of doubt. The other dog is joyful and confident. The unhappy dog fights the joyful dog all the time! One day, the wise man was asked,

‘‘So, which dog wins?’’ he reflected and replied,

‘‘The one I feed the most!’’

Why Resilience?

To quote the amazing Nelson Mandela,

‘The greatest glory in living lies, not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall’’

I believe that it is from our failures that we evolve and learn how to be better next time and eventually succeed!

Why Wellbeing?

We generally underestimate the impact that businesses and leaders can have on the mental and physical wellbeing of their workforce. An understanding is evolving that accepts there is a mental health crisis globally.

According to the World Health Organisation, the global economy loses more than US $1 trillion per year due to stress, depression and anxiety and describes it as the ’Global health epidemic of the 21st century’’
